Today -- I washed my hair!!

Today is a good day!

So fresh and so clean clean!!

Went a seven hour stretch between my nighttime pain med and this morning's dose. I'm supposed to take it every 4-6 hours. And after the nerve block came out on Sunday, I was having to take it in 4 hour stretches. And if you know me, I'm not a medicine kinda gal. So getting down to 6-7 hour stretches is really exciting! BOOM! I'm also getting more comfortable moving my leg and working through the different sensations. Currently, when I do pretty much anything other than keep my leg elevated, all the blood rushes down to my foot and it creates this pretty intense burny crampy feeling in the back of my knee/bottom of my hamstring. Kinda freaked me out at first, but it makes total sense. And when I called the nurses on Monday - they said it's fine and normal too. So, that said, I'm working on just flexing and extending my knee to alleviate that sensation when it happens and today is better than yesterday. DOUBLE BOOM!! Learning that I can work through that, and being able to do so for longer periods of time each day, means that today.......I WASHED MY HAIR!! All by myself! Woohoo!! First time since (TMI...) Thursday night before the surgery! (I know - ew. ew. ew.) It's the little things, people! TRIPLE BOOM!!! Today is a good day. :)

Counting every accomplishment, no matter how small, as another little victory over here in the land of one-legged adventures!
